Mrs Gina Watson

Gina was a pupil at Dunottar for eight years, thriving in the individual care and encouragement, excellent teaching, sporting opportunities, and spacious grounds at the school. She read Law at Southampton University and, after a year working in the marketing department of an Australian travel company, she joined a large City law firm. After qualifying as a solicitor, she specialised in commercial contracts and litigation, becoming a partner and more recently a consultant there.

Her areas of expertise have included professional, insurance and construction contracts, warranties and NDAs, as well as professional indemnity, construction and insurance recovery litigation.

Gina has been a parent at the school, and most notably was a legal and strategic adviser to the team that saved Dunottar from closure in 2014.

Gina joined the LGB in 2018. Having been Safeguarding Governor for 3 years, she is now responsible for Arts and Sports, both passions of hers. She is also involved in the Wellbeing provision and is on the Alumni team. She lives locally with her husband, has three grown up children, and is involved in a number of local voluntary initiatives.
