Mr Andy Porteous

Andy lives close to the school and first became a governor at Dunottar in 2014 after the school became part of United Learning. He was heavily involved in the Love Dunottar campaign and believes deeply in what the school stands for. He became Chair of the Local Governing Body in 2022.

Andy’s background is in leading and developing teams in marketing, digital insight and consumer understanding in the UK and globally.  He has worked for large multi-national companies and start-ups, and organisations in-between. Before moving to Reigate, he lived and worked in many countries in Europe and Africa.

One of his daughters attended the school from Years 7 to 13, where she experienced the benefits of the Dunottar ethos and quality of education.

Andy is a member of both the Finance and Education Committees.
