A Cultural and Linguistic Adventure in Madrid!

Twenty-four of our Year 10 and Year 11 pupils recently enjoyed a fantastic five-day immersive trip to Madrid, exploring the city’s rich cultural and linguistic offerings. From a discovery quest around the famous Plaza Mayor and bustling San Miguel Market, to a deep dive into Spanish traditions at the Plaza de las Ventas Bullring, pupils gained first-hand insight into Madrid’s vibrant history. A highlight for many was the thrilling tour of Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, an unforgettable experience for our football enthusiasts!

In addition to exploring, pupils engaged in three mornings of language lessons, allowing them to strengthen their Spanish skills and practice daily while ordering meals and shopping for souvenirs. Reflecting on the trip, our pupils shared, “The people, the sights and the fabulous culture made this experience perfect and the great company (aka the teachers!) made it unforgettable. We’ve created memories that will last a lifetime.”
