On the 21st of May, our Year 7 pupils embarked on an exciting trip to Hever Castle, immersing themselves in the rich history of the Tudor period. The day began with a tour of the castle, followed by an engaging workshop conducted by the Hever Castle staff. During the workshop, pupils delved into Tudor society, exploring the lives of monarchs, nobles, merchants, servants and peasants. Pupils also had the opportunity to play traditional Tudor games and dress in period costumes. As they wandered through the grounds, pupils worked on their booklets, capturing photos of statues and monuments and navigated the English Yew Maze and the Water Maze. The day concluded with each pupil writing a letter to Anne Boleyn, reflecting on the fascinating historical insights they had gained throughout their visit.
