Trip To See Witness for the Prosecution

On Thursday 16th May, GCSE drama pupils, drama scholars, aspiring actors and Performance Support Award pupils went to watch Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution at London’s County Hall. Performed in a real courtroom, the site specific play was extremely immersive. Pupils were hooked from the start as Christie’s trademark mix of red herrings kept us guessing who was guilty right until the end. We all agreed it was a very entertaining and exciting night of entertainment with one pupil claiming, ‘If you’re going to see one play in your life, this is the one you should see.’ As always, pupils were an asset to the school, with exemplary behaviour and focus throughout. It was wonderful to hear them animatedly discussing the events of the play and their predictions in the interval and to get their enthusiastic reactions to the dramatic twists at the end.
