Following on from this week’s excellent A-level grades, Dunottar School pupils are celebrating a superb set of GCSE results. Many pupils achieved top grades and there was significant value added across the year group. Their results, confirmed today, are testament to pupils’ commitment to learning, resilience and positivity.
Headmaster, Mr Tottman, said: “I am delighted with this outstanding set of results. Despite the uncertainty of the last two years, pupils have displayed true warrior learner characteristics to navigate these challenges. Importantly, Dunottar was able to lead the way in remote learning, with pupils following a full academic timetable during lockdown. A huge thank you goes to the school’s teachers for their flexibility and creativity to adapt and the vital support from parents and families.
I am incredibly proud of Dunottar pupils for their individual achievements. They have not only enjoyed academic success but have triumphed in sport, are talented musicians and performers and enthusiastic participants of the school’s extensive co-curricular programme. Armed with a strong set of values and self-belief, these young adults are role models and leaders – inspiring our younger pupils. I look forward to welcoming them, along with our new Sixth Form joiners, to the next stage of their education in our Sixth Form.”
