United Learning have today announced the appointment of Mr Mark Tottman as the new Headmaster of Dunottar School.
Mr Tottman, is currently the Academic Deputy Head at Dean Close School in Cheltenham and Director for Admissions and Marketing across its Foundation. A business and economics teacher, he and his wife, Romey, have been Houseparents at its boarding facility since 2008. He graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Modern History and has a MBA from Edinburgh Business School.
Mr Tottman will take up post in September and replaces Mrs Rowena Cole who has been appointed Head of St John’s School, Leatherhead.
Announcing the appointment, Jon Coles, Chief Executive of United Learning said: “We are particularly pleased to have appointed Mr Tottman as he brings with him the experience, skills and drive to build on the success the school has achieved over the past three years. He shares our vision and ambition for Dunottar and will be a very popular appointment across the school community”.
Mr Tottman said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the next Headmaster of Dunottar at such an exciting time for the school. Having met with some of the pupils, teachers and governors already, it is clear that Dunottar has high standards and a warm heart. I am looking forward to working with the whole school community and to ensuring that all pupils benefit from an excellent, rounded education”.
